Her heart, Cheryl was convinced, would ache forever at the loss of Toni in her life, but as her cousin, Betty, pointed out, sometimes the best way to move on was with someone else. Cheryl was unconvinced, but she was willing to give it a shot. Especially since the girl in question was suggested by her cousin, and she was informed she went to a different school and was very different from Cheryl.
Seeing as Toni had been nearly her complete opposite, that was not a turn off in any consideration.
When she enters the milkshake shop, it might be obvious who she is, especially if Betty and Betty’s friends from Hawkins explained who Cheryl is properly. She has confidence in every well placed step from her shiny shoes, her unmistakable red hair freely swaying along with her skirt, her bright red lipstick, and even the way she tips her red, heart-shaped sunglasses to look at Robin over the top of them when she reaches the booth Robin was told to wait for her in. Cheryl's eyes look Robin over, and her lips start to curl up.
“I do hope your name is Robin,” Cheryl says with a tentative smile, “as I would hate to evict a different bird from our booth for the afternoon.”
