Blind Date Meme



Let's face it, sometimes it's difficult finding someone to share your time, and your heart (or maybe just your body), with. Luckily for you, you have well meaning friends. Unfortunately for you, you have well meaning friends who didn't tell you this was coming. That's right. They have taken it upon themselves (and no doubt friends of friends or family members or someone else who clearly doesn't know you) to arrange a date. Without telling you.

That's right. The dreaded blind date. Which means now you've got to get through at least a reasonable amount of time with a total stranger (or maybe not a stranger if you're particularly, well, we can't say if it's lucky or not) before you can reasonably escape. Maybe it will go well. Maybe this will be the start of the rest of your lives. Maybe you'll get laid. Maybe you'll have a horror story for the ages.

No matter what plays out, though, you're here. Might as well see just how your luck is going to play out.

How to Play

1. Post your character and canon below along with any preferences. Then go back and edit your comment with the next number in order (i.e. first TL is 1, second is 2, etc)

2. Tag other TLs. If a character isn't in normal preferences, ask if they might want a date that goes poorly instead!

3. Optionally, get yourself a truly blind experience by going here and randomly generating a number. Then find the matching TL (numbered back in step one) and enjoy your blind date.

4. For more fun, use the list in the first comment for randomized date locations!

I believe that luck is real alright. It's saved my men more than a few times.

Well then you get it. If good luck exists, so does bad luck. And I'm rich in that sometimes.

Actually, maybe you can? Maybe I'm taking up so much of the bad luck that other people get all the good luck?

[This had him shaking his head.]

I somehow really doubt that.

[Oh come on. Clint laughs.]

My life will definitely make you reconsider that.

Angeal smiled.

"Then at this point, it's a waiting game."

[wisecracking_shot]

"Isn't that the way that it always goes?"

He laughs and looks the menu over.

"You good with something filling?"

[heavenlyhonour]

Angeal nodded to the first question and continued to peruse the menu until he heard the second question.

Looking up at the other man he nodded.

"What did you have in mind?"

"Honestly, I'm not as picky as you'd think. If it's good and there's plenty, I want it."

Which means he doesn't quite know what to pick up.

Angeal smiled. That was Zack logic in his mind.

"So something hearty to start then?"

[wisecracking_shot]

"Sounds like the best plan. Figure they probably don't have pizza, so when that's the case, hearty is what I want the most."

And maybe that's weird, but he doesn't much care. He likes hearty foods. Probably comes from the poverty upbringing.

"Pizza is good, but they have bacon double cheeseburgers. Is something like that okay?"

Filling was what Angeal was after. He had a pretty big appetite himself.

Okay, that sounds amazing. Clint grins.

"Thank we can get it animal style? Do they have secret sauces? I would love secret sauces."

Filling was always a good thing in Clint's book.

He said what?

"Animal style? Should I ask what that is?"

This was definitely interesting.

"It's a special sauce, and sometimes special toppings. You know, secret menus."

Surely that's something Angeal has head of, right?

Angeal looked his companion over and set his menu down.

"Secret menus it is."

[wisecracking_shot]

Oh man, that makes Clint grin. He was happy to do this.

"Do you know any of it here?"

[heavenlyhonour]

"Never been here before, but I'm sure we can ask what they are."

Angeal had no doubt that if they asked, they'd find out.

Ah, but is it a secret then?

"And if they say no? Do we investigate?"

[heavenlyhonour]

He had to smile. "We can definitely ask for clarification."

This might be fun.

"Alright then! Bring on the waiters!"

Or Waitresses. He's not picky.

As that was decreed, a waitperson came over to the table, and Angeal nodded. "My friend and I are wondering what you have on your secret menu."

The server just... stares. Like they don't know how to process this question.

"The menus are right there," they observe.

"No, like, the secret stuff. That you have to know about to order."

Which clearly they don't know about so failing at it, but whatever, They can try.

Angeal patiently waited but the staff seemed unhelpful. Or..

Looking at his companion, the former First shook his head. "Maybe they don't have something like that here."
