Blind Date Meme

Let's face it, sometimes it's difficult finding someone to share your time, and your heart (or maybe just your body), with. Luckily for you, you have well meaning friends. Unfortunately for you, you have well meaning friends who didn't tell you this was coming. That's right. They have taken it upon themselves (and no doubt friends of friends or family members or someone else who clearly doesn't know you) to arrange a date. Without telling you.

That's right. The dreaded blind date. Which means now you've got to get through at least a reasonable amount of time with a total stranger (or maybe not a stranger if you're particularly, well, we can't say if it's lucky or not) before you can reasonably escape. Maybe it will go well. Maybe this will be the start of the rest of your lives. Maybe you'll get laid. Maybe you'll have a horror story for the ages.

No matter what plays out, though, you're here. Might as well see just how your luck is going to play out.

How to Play
1. Post your character and canon below along with any preferences. Then go back and edit your comment with the next number in order (i.e. first TL is 1, second is 2, etc)
2. Tag other TLs. If a character isn't in normal preferences, ask if they might want a date that goes poorly instead!
3. Optionally, get yourself a truly blind experience by going here and randomly generating a number. Then find the matching TL (numbered back in step one) and enjoy your blind date.
4. For more fun, use the list in the first comment for randomized date locations!

That's a damn good point.

"Um..."

He tilts his head and is clearly thinking.

"I mean, I fight crime. So a lot?"

That had him smile.

"You fight just regular people on the street or?"

Angeal let his voice trail off, attempting to learn about the good looking man before him.

"I fight for regular people. I'm like, a super hero. But I started in the circus."

Because he's pretty amazing, and worth seeing.

"The circus?" Angeal asked, half amused and half in shock. "How did the circus turn you into someone that fights for people?"

This had to be quite the story.

That's complicated. Clint sighs.

"The two guys training me weren't exactly the most honest of people, and that, uh... led to some problems. And I decided not to walk their path."

Which hadn't gone well for him at first.

"I see." Angeal replied. A thousand memories ran through his mind with different people and experiences with Soldier. So he could totally relate to that statement.

"Glad to see you did your own thing."

"I did my best at it. Doesn't always work out, but I try," Clint says with a shrug. "Helps that Cap believes in me."

And when Steve Rogers believes in you, you try harder.

"Cap?" Angeal asked, thinking at first that Clint was speaking about a hat. But a hat couldn't believe in someone, so he waited to hear an explanation.

"Yeah. Captain America. Real hero type."

The sort of guy that made you better by association. By wanting to live up to his standards.

Angeal smiled and took a sip of his water. "If that guy is a hero, I have a friend that would probably love to meet him."

Really? Clint laughs.

"Would your friend want to meet me too then?"

He paused. There wasn't any need to inform the pup that they'd had lunch together and have him make a big deal out of nothing.

"I don't see why not."

"Well, I'm not the sort that impresses people so it's okay if he wouldn't. I understand who I am."

Which was someone not that impressive.

Angeal shook his head. "I'm guessing that's going to depend on who's asking."

Yeah, he supposes it's like that.

"Nah, it really doesn't. If you know me, I'm not impressive."

"That sounds like your own opinion of yourself."

He was waiting here.

Ouch, man, don't see him so well! That's rude.

"I mean, the people I know are just... they're really amazing. I'm just a dude."

He thought a minute and lifted the glass of water to his lips.

Setting it down on the table after a moment he nodded. "I'd say the same in regards to my friends."

"You definitely don't look like just some dude."

Angeal looks gorgeous. Strong. Confidence. It's so good.

Angeal nodded.

"Being in the military tends to change a person."

Understatement, thy name is Angeal.

It really does, doesn't it. Clint frowns.

"Sounds like some experience there, guy."

Angeal shrugged. "Wasn't too bad. Others had it worse than I did."

Being First Class did have its privileges after all.

"That's never a good thing to hear," Clint sighs. "I'm sorry."

Angeal shook his head. "Part and parcel of being in the military. People had to move up the food chain so they could have it a food chain so they could have it a little easier."

Yeah that makes sense to the point Clint grimaces.

"Makes things awkward I bet."
