Blind Date Meme

Let's face it, sometimes it's difficult finding someone to share your time, and your heart (or maybe just your body), with. Luckily for you, you have well meaning friends. Unfortunately for you, you have well meaning friends who didn't tell you this was coming. That's right. They have taken it upon themselves (and no doubt friends of friends or family members or someone else who clearly doesn't know you) to arrange a date. Without telling you.

That's right. The dreaded blind date. Which means now you've got to get through at least a reasonable amount of time with a total stranger (or maybe not a stranger if you're particularly, well, we can't say if it's lucky or not) before you can reasonably escape. Maybe it will go well. Maybe this will be the start of the rest of your lives. Maybe you'll get laid. Maybe you'll have a horror story for the ages.

No matter what plays out, though, you're here. Might as well see just how your luck is going to play out.

How to Play
1. Post your character and canon below along with any preferences. Then go back and edit your comment with the next number in order (i.e. first TL is 1, second is 2, etc)
2. Tag other TLs. If a character isn't in normal preferences, ask if they might want a date that goes poorly instead!
3. Optionally, get yourself a truly blind experience by going here and randomly generating a number. Then find the matching TL (numbered back in step one) and enjoy your blind date.
4. For more fun, use the list in the first comment for randomized date locations!

[ It was true that she would have, if they happened to be doing something that Gray knew more about… But it still meant a lot to her to have had the chance to ask. ]

Hm… I wouldn’t mind a chance to get up and walk?

[ She could stand to stretch her legs a bit, she thinks. And it is so easy to go and come back, given they had the booth to themselves. ]

[Because Robin doesn't want to, you know, completely abandon her date right now.]

Yes, let’s!

[ Gray pushed herself to her feet from her chair and nodded with a little smile, more relaxed than she had been when they got here. ]

Will they do that thing with the lights again when we should get back to our seats?

[ she asked curiously, sticking close to Robin as she looked around as they left the booth behind again. ]

Yeah, and the musicians will do the music thing again. But the warning period will maybe be shorter?

[She guides them out of the balcony.]

Do you need the bathroom?

[ Gray kept that in mind, if only to keep from getting distracted and making them late to return to their seats.

She offered a smile, shaking her head. ]

Ah, no I just need to stretch my legs I think… Sitting for a long time and all. But we can stop there if you need.

No. I'm fine. I didn't get drinks before the show or any of that. Too nervous.

Too nervous?

[ Gray could at least understand that. She had been rather nervous and unsure of the plan this evening in general. She’d never really done anything like this, both a blind date or a play. ]

Then we can just walk around a little till the play starts again. I think that would be nice.

Yeah. I haven't... been on a lot of dates?

[So it was reasonable to think that she could always mess that up, you know?]

Alright, walking it is.

[Nervously she offers out her hand]

Oh! [ That made sense, then, and actually… Kind of made her feel a little better, given her own lack of experience. ] I sort of understand that, um… I’ve never been on any dates before. But it’s been really nice so far!

[ Gray nervously returned the gesture, taking the hand offered with a little bow of her head under her hood. ]

Right! It would be nice to see more of the theatre while we walk too. It’s really pretty here.

[It's been really nice? Robin smiles and blushes. She's glad to hear it's been nice.]

Well, I haven't embarrassed us both yet. SO that's a plus. Okay. Exploring it is!

Oh? I don’t think you have to worry about that at all.

[ If anything, Gray is rather sure she’d be the one to embarrass them with her lack of experience on so many things! Even Add snickered beneath her cloak to himself, knowing how awkward the girl was.

But she’s happy to let Robin lead her around so they can explore the building a little more. ]
