Of course he would have. Billy had been so far in the closet when he was a teen that he’d basically been in Narnia. Hell, Narnia wasn’t even far to cover where he’d been. His father had beaten him back in so far that he hadn’t even accepted Tommy’s shy attempts behind closed doors.

“It’s not that you’d be appreciated more because you’re far away. You’d be appreciated as much as you deserve. If you thought you were popular with girls there, you will not be able to believe how popular you’d be out there.”
