"Sounds about right." Steve nods. "Careful, if something like that is common on the beach I might not be as keen to check it out."

He's teasing, he knows that while common they aren't that bad so long as you have someone who knows what to look out for or where they're more common. And if he did in fact have Billy there to show him around he was sure that he and his daughter would be fine.
