Nodding at the first part Steve motions with his hands as he talks, just his usual thing.

"Look, I am so used to some people not letting me actually pick up the tab when I tell them I'm going to." Jonathan just really doesn't like feeling indebted to Steve in any way. That's more a him thing than a Steve thing though.

"I don't blame you though, I wouldn't be able to either. I don't know how my parents have stayed together so long. Pretty sure it's pure spite at this point."
