Surely Steve gets them, the PTSD. They can't get away from that, can they? So Billy really doesn't want to scare the kid. At least he tends to wake up less with screams and more with whimpers and shaking these days. Knowing Neil really had helped make some sorts of coping possible.
As for the wake up call, Billy shakes his head.
"I have an alarm. I bring it with me. I... certain sounds really mess with me if I'm asleep. Took me three years to find an alarm that worked reliably for me without it triggering shit. Just need to remember to put the right time on it."
