"Look," Steve laughed. "I grew up an only child with absent parents. I always wanted a big family."

Grinning, he sat back in his seat and thought about driving that stolen Winnebago and talking with Nancy.

"I once told Nancy I had this dream of having like six kids and going on a family trip in an RV. She looked horrified." The laugh that follows this time is sort of wistful. "Said I was already getting practice with the kids part thanks to Mike and Dustin and all of them. Max too."
