Let's face it, sometimes it's difficult finding someone to share your time, and your heart (or maybe just your body), with. Luckily for you, you have well meaning friends. Unfortunately for you, you have well meaning friends who didn't tell you this was coming. That's right. They have taken it upon themselves (and no doubt friends of friends or family members or someone else who clearly doesn't know you) to arrange a date. Without telling you.
That's right. The dreaded blind date. Which means now you've got to get through at least a reasonable amount of time with a total stranger (or maybe not a stranger if you're particularly, well, we can't say if it's lucky or not) before you can reasonably escape. Maybe it will go well. Maybe this will be the start of the rest of your lives. Maybe you'll get laid. Maybe you'll have a horror story for the ages.
No matter what plays out, though, you're here. Might as well see just how your luck is going to play out.
How to Play1. Post your character and canon below along with any preferences. Then go back and edit your comment with the next number in order (i.e. first TL is 1, second is 2, etc) 2. Tag other TLs. If a character isn't in normal preferences, ask if they might want a date that goes poorly instead! 3. Optionally, get yourself a truly blind experience by going here and randomly generating a number. Then find the matching TL (numbered back in step one) and enjoy your blind date. 4. For more fun, use the list in the first comment for randomized date locations!

Yeah. The competent upperclassmen do that sometimes. I haven't been. Selphie's good enough for it though.
[But then the guy is gone and Nida can lay into his burger without talking with his mouth full. Which, you know, fun.]
No problem. I got to eat some.

It’s almost like you could tell a story as you take pictures of them through time like that, to see how the world around them changes while they remain. It’s amazing to capture that, do you prefer any kind of building in particular, or do you like the variety??

[ Waver felt the flush deepen at Nida’s chuckling. Because, yeah, he’s in way over his head here! Way over it! Not that it’s new. He really didn’t realize what he was getting into when he transferred to his current school, let alone when he let himself get dragged out of his dorm earlier. Honestly, that was a trend that would continue through his life. He’s glad, at least, that he got a chance to school his emotions again a bit while retrieving the food, mentally slapping himself for not wrangling Melvin into telling him a little more before now.
Sitting back down, he unwrapped his burger and set the fries in the center of the table. ]
Oh, good. You don’t have to stop for me. I don’t mind if you want to focus on the food for a bit. They’re probably going to be awhile and fries suck when they get cold.
[ He added, before taking a bite of his burger. Waver, at this point, is a lot less refined than most mages. He hadn’t been brought up in a traditional setting, and he certainly wasn’t as high society as people like Melvin were. ]

[ Gray, sweet girl that she was, simply guessed Robin didn’t have time to go through with it rather than passing out. She was so pretty and had a nice voice, in the girl’s opinion. She would probably be good on stage, or so the teen thought to herself. Ah… she’s often awed by the people around her. ]
Right! I think it should be, oh- [ She tilted her head as people started to line up for the entrance. ] I think it might be starting soon?
(no subject)
We're probably fine that I'm not doing it. I'm probably more suited to director than actress after all.
[Yeah, there's people moving, and Robin gestures for Gray to join her.]
I think we have box seats. Those are, like, more private and special. Great view too.
(no subject)
[He laughs at that, shaking his head. How silly was that?]
It's not about the specific building. It's the vision about it. So I'll do anything if I think I can get the right angle.

Fries are the worst cold. And I don't exactly have an oven to reheat them, you know? Burgers, less bad cold. Why is that you think?
(no subject)
"So what do you do when you're not playing games like this?"
(no subject)
"You know, we don't have to stay here," Nick points out. "If there's somewhere else you would rather go. I wouldn't mind getting a ride."
(no subject)
There’s a lot that some people don’t see in the world, hiding underneath the surface, and for others it might help to see the brighter side they might not have seen enough in their time. I think that’s a beautiful goal for your art form.
(no subject)
We don’t have ovens in our dorms either. Well, not the less expensive dorms ones, anyway. I think a few students have like, end up renovating theirs. [ The rich kids. ] So no point in bringing back leftovers to reheat.

[ She wouldn’t mind helping one behind the scenes herself if she learned more about them. She hated being the center of attention, somewhat uncomfortable with being stared at. The gesture is met with a little bob of her head, the material of her hood swaying lightly as she hurried to follow Robin in. Yes, she looks a bit surprised to hear that they had box seats! ]
Oh! That sounds really nice. We’ll be able to see everything from up higher.
[ At least, she imagined so. She was pretty sure Sir had to sit down below in the regular seats, poor guy. ]

"What's your opinions on fast?"
(no subject)
"I'm with law enforcement."
(no subject)
[And it keeps Robin from the immediate lime light while she still gets to enjoy it.]
We really will. Come on. I...
[Robin offers her arm to Gray to guide her in.]
(no subject)
[He actually has to chuckle because it's really good rational.]
The cadets at Garden don't even get to have private rooms. I'm in a double actually. They say that full SeeDs sometimes get kitchenettes. That would be pretty cool.
(no subject)
What about you? What do you do?
(no subject)
[ Or normal. Darn it... For someone who felt rather average compared to the people he was used to dealing with, he really wasn’t most people’s definition of the word. ]
I guess you could say I’m still figuring out what my interests are, and as for work, I’ve done a little of everything. Managed a casino for a little while. I’m kind of between jobs right now.
[ God, that made him sound vague, flippant and unstable, didn’t it? Ugh, not good to admit on a date. Still better than the truth, probably… ]
Waiting on a call from an agency that might take me on, though.
(no subject)
[ People did that on dates, right? She is pretty, at least, that it was normal. Like in some of the novels she’d read over the years. So, with a little blush on her cheeks, she took the offered arm and let Robin draw her along. ]
Thank you, I’ll let you lead the way.
(no subject)
I don’t know much about SeeDs. A full kitchen would be pretty great to work up to, though. How far are you from something like that?
(no subject)
I can take the test this fall, but I don't know that I'll make it. I'm not the most impressive student, even though I've been there for long.
(no subject)
That sounds great. It can be nice to seek something new over time. Nothing wrong with that. I wish you so much luck.
(no subject)
I've never had such good seats before. This is going to be interesting.
(no subject)
"I'm a bartender." Not that she has to work but it gives her something to do with her nights.
