Let's face it, sometimes it's difficult finding someone to share your time, and your heart (or maybe just your body), with. Luckily for you, you have well meaning friends. Unfortunately for you, you have well meaning friends who didn't tell you this was coming. That's right. They have taken it upon themselves (and no doubt friends of friends or family members or someone else who clearly doesn't know you) to arrange a date. Without telling you.
That's right. The dreaded blind date. Which means now you've got to get through at least a reasonable amount of time with a total stranger (or maybe not a stranger if you're particularly, well, we can't say if it's lucky or not) before you can reasonably escape. Maybe it will go well. Maybe this will be the start of the rest of your lives. Maybe you'll get laid. Maybe you'll have a horror story for the ages.
No matter what plays out, though, you're here. Might as well see just how your luck is going to play out.
How to Play1. Post your character and canon below along with any preferences. Then go back and edit your comment with the next number in order (i.e. first TL is 1, second is 2, etc) 2. Tag other TLs. If a character isn't in normal preferences, ask if they might want a date that goes poorly instead! 3. Optionally, get yourself a truly blind experience by going here and randomly generating a number. Then find the matching TL (numbered back in step one) and enjoy your blind date. 4. For more fun, use the list in the first comment for randomized date locations!

[ She peered over the edge again, really this did seem like the best way to experience a play. Especially a first play! ]
It’s pretty too. I wonder what the stage will be like when the curtains open.

At least, he had decided, he could knock two birds out with one stone. Dates are arranged, money sent to outfit a dress if the young woman doesn't have anything suitable for a high society charity function, and an invitation sent as well as to where and when to meet. Outside. Where Genesis was currently waiting in his three piece designer suit.
At least there was one advantage to his situation he supposed. WHoever the young woman was, she would serve as an excellent barrier against other female guests who might be eager to end up in his good graces. Maybe she would even be interesting conversation. Though that he of course doubted.

Potato skins sound good to me. [ Despite his flashy appearance, Sigma isn’t really fussy about food. He had things he liked, of course, but he didn’t need a fancy dinner to enjoy. Though desserts were a plus. ] And since I’ve never been here before, I’ll take your word for it.

[That Robin can speculate on, but only speculate. Each director brought their own vision.]
I promise it will be colorful.
(no subject)
[Probably. She bets there are guys like that. Like Steve. Okay, that might be a point not in Steve's favor.]
Don't be. His chest is so hairy. It's ick.
[Do her parents love her? That's a whole question. Robin sighs.]
Probably. I mean, they're former hippies. All about love there.

Which doesn't explain why she is here. Perhaps being shown to her own table and just wishing to meet him?
"Indeed I am, miss. It is a privilege to meet you."
(no subject)
Says you.
[He actually looks a little bit more sympathetic.]
That's a good sign! Uhm... maybe see how they felt about David Bowie?

Why they were in a cat cafe, well, he couldn't even begin to guess. Safety in the form of felines maybe? Or maybe Kate hadn't researched the place before sending Teddy a date and time? Damn, he really didn't know.
What he did know was that while he waited an orange tabby had decided that his lap was the perfect place to lay down and purr, and there was no chance he was going to be able to move from this spot for a while.
(no subject)
Awesome. I've only been here once, with some old friends.
[He reaches into his pocket to pull out his phone and pulls up an app to punch in an order.]
Apparently they get so busy with serving the bar that it's just easier to order food via the app. I don't want to bother the bartender more than I have ot.

Think this was a challenge, then? See how long we'll hold out before one of us caves and turns tail?

[Might as well get this show on the road, as it were.]
You know this game?

"It's really nice to meet you too. Luna showed me a picture before she dropped me off here." And the picture had been more than enough to get her to agree.
(no subject)
[Which means she might have just thrown down a challenge to him. That could be amusing.]
(no subject)
Now that's a hilarious tactic. Might have to think about that to test the waters. But that doesn't mean I'm necessarily comfortable with them knowing? Like, they could believe in something in theory and hate it in action. That happens, right?
(no subject)
You're right - it absolutely happens.
My folks are... okay with it. Like I think my mom already knew when I was little. Maybe because I kept wearing her shoes. But even so... yeah. You just don't know.
Do they pay for your shit? Because that makes a difference, too. If you're independent you can be a little more free.

Ravus stand there, his hand falling to his side briefly as he has to process those words. That is just a bit more than he had expected to hear.
"Forgive me, I fear that I cannot have heard you correctly. Lunafreya did what?"
(no subject)
(no subject)
Not really so much as you'd hope for. Ends meet, but not much past that? And if you say independent, do you mean latchkey kid? Because that sounds accurate.
(no subject)
[Yeah. He just said that.]
(no subject)
ANd wow, please never say those words again. Like. Wow. Just don't. That sounds so bad.
(no subject)
[He laughs, sounding startled into it. He covers his mouth, but he's still smiling.]
I'm not sorry.
(no subject)
"Is that a problem?"
