Money to a Good Cause - For @robintohood

It's an annual thing of course. There's always some crisis that can justify this whole this. What makes this year special is that for the first time the formerly 'young' Avengers have been deemed old enough to put their names on the list. They're early bird choices, people to get up the blood and attention, which Tommy thinks is so silly.

Of course he should be later in the evening, but there's nothing he can do with that. Tommy knows he's going to go for something good. Bring in the money from some rich socialite who has all sorts of thoughts about just what you can get out of a speedster. Probably didn't help that his uncle had a reputation for how his dates go on these things.

But there he is anyway, smiling as he stands on the stage in this green-black tux that Stark had gotten him, his goggles on as he smiles and winks at the ladies that are throwing in bids.

"Oh come on," he says as another bid comes in, far too low for his dignity. "There are so many perks to a speedster for a night. Have a favorite restaurant you miss? I can get you there. Or pick up delivery."

“You make it sound like I’m accident prone,” Jason says. “I’ll have you know I’m as graceful as a swan.”

Or more like a songbird, like a robin even.

"Are you though?"

He grins as he guides them away from the little area where they could pay.

"I'll have to see that."

"Got any ideas?" Jason teases, following Tommy.

Tommy snorts.

"Dude, I didn't even know you were here tonight. So no, no plans."

"My hotel room first then so I can get out of this monkey suit," Jason says. "Mind giving me boost?"

[doubled_speed]

Well that sounds like a plan. But he's doing it his way. Which means princess carry.

"Your wish yadda yadda yadda."

[robintohood]

Jason snorts and holds his arms out.

"Your words," he says.

"Which hotel, genius?"

[robintohood]

Jason gives the address of a uptown luxury boutique hotel. It was exactly the kind of place that only served clients of a certain tax bracket.

A certain tax bracket indeed. Between one moment and the other they're outside of the hotel and Tommy smiles.

"This is where the richer half lives?"

[robintohood]

"Yeah. It's the kind of place for people with too many preferences and too much money," Jason says lightly as he walks into the building and to the elevator.

"Which you are tonight."

He grins and follows after Jason.

"You look good in the suit, by the way."

[robintohood]

"Thanks. Wasn't really my choice," Jason says before rolling his eyes. "Keeping up appearances and all."

[doubled_speed]

"This looks like one of those places where you could get them to fill a hottub with champagne or something."

And he doubts anyone actually asks for that.

"After seeing some of the people staying here, I wouldn't be surprised," Jason says. He then steps into an elevator car.

Tommy slips into the elevator with the vigilante and leans against the wall.

"I suppose I should have changed too."

[robintohood]

“Maybe but we can still make do somehow,” He says as the elevator doors close and the car goes up. “Especially now we don’t have to care about people looking at us too closely.”

That's a fair point. Tommy laughs as he looks at Jason.

"What are you thinking, baby?"

[robintohood]

“A night in maybe?” Jason coyly replies.

[doubled_speed]

Oh, well that earns a grin.

"Large bed?"

[robintohood]

“Naturally,” Jason says, his smirk getting wider.

The elevator dings and stops at his floor. He takes Tommy’s hand and gently tugs him as he leads him to his room.

He follows, still smiling. This sounds like stupidly good fun.

"How big?"

[robintohood]

“King size. Sorry. I mean ‘California King’ because apparently there could always be bigger,” Jason replies. “The important thing is that it’s got plenty of space for both of us.”

"Yeah, there's Alaskan King," Tommy notes. "But he's so happy to know there is plenty of space to share."

Let him enjoy this. He's never been in a bed that big before.

Jason scans his key card and opens the door to his hotel room. He flips on the lights and lets Tommy in first.

The space is large and in a style that’s more fancy than what Jason prefers. Just like Jason said, the bedroom area has a California King-sized bed. Jason had not bothered to make it earlier in the morning. He had also left his tank top and shorts on it.

Next to the bedroom area is a door leading to the equally fancy bathroom. Meanwhile, the living room space has a big screen TV, an armchair, and a sofa. Off to the side is also a mini-fridge.

“Make yourself home,” Jason says as he shuts the door behind them.
